About BoodleBox

BoodleBox is a VC-backed GenAI platform built for higher education. With 100,000+ users across 1,200+ colleges and universities, we partner with faculty, staff, and students to make responsible AI adoption practical, impactful, and lasting. Our platform brings together leading AI tools — including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity — under one roof, purpose-built for the unique demands of academic environments. We’re guided by three core values: service, education, and collaboration.

‍

The Role

You’ve sat across from a trial lawyer who has seen every AI demo and believes none of them. You know what changes their mind. You also know the demo is the easy part. The hard part is the security questions, the firm administrator, the second and third seat, and the partner who says yes only after a colleague does.

BoodleBox is the AI collaboration platform that powered Mark Lanier’s trial team, encoding partner expertise into 200+ custom bots. Law firm accounts have grown 210% since. You’re the second VP in this function. You report to the CEO and share one number with your peer VP. Two people, one goal, no one chasing the same account. You sell, and you build. You run your own demos, set pricing and qualification, sharpen the ICP and messaging, and turn early wins into a playbook other people run without you.

Nobody hands you the playbook. You write it. You’ll partner with Product, Marketing, and Solutions to make it real, and you’ll travel to clients and events (25–50% of your time) to do it. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.

This role is fully remote, with a company hub in Colorado Springs, CO.

‍

What You’ll Own

  • The shared legal number. You and your peer VP carry one revenue target from first conversation through close, implementation, adoption, and expansion.
  • Demos that land. Trial lawyers and firm administrators see something built for them, and 1–2 seat pilots grow into firm-wide deals.
  • Pricing and qualification. Every deal is clean, defensible, and consistent, and you know early which ones to pass on.
  • The legal playbook. ICP, messaging against Harvey and Legora, case studies, referral motions, and network-hub strategies, written down and used by others.
  • The loop to Product. Sophisticated buyer feedback reaches Engineering as clear requirements (security packages, MCP connectors, Boxes) without promising roadmap you don’t control.
  • The demand engine. You build pipeline with Marketing through webinars, CLEs, events like MTMP and AAJ, and the Legal AI Leadership Council.
  • Expansion. The accounts you close grow, including services sold alongside the platform when they unlock adoption.

‍

Who You Are

  • A closer with law firm scars. You’ve closed complex SaaS or platform deals to firms and can tell us about the one that nearly fell apart.
  • Trusted by trial lawyers. You can walk into a small or mid-size firm and earn the room, including the administrator who controls the budget.
  • Technical enough to hold your own. When security, data handling, or an integration comes up in a demo, you answer it instead of saying you’ll get back to them.
  • A builder who also sells. You create structure where there isn’t any and execute on it daily. You’ve built something others still use.
  • Fluent in AI, for real. You’ve built workflows you rely on, not just tried a chatbot. You can show us one.
  • Candid, fast, and clear on judgment. You know when to push, when to pass, and how to keep a deal clean.
  • A partner on a shared number. You’d rather split a win with a peer than win alone and leave the playbook in your head.

We’re Not Checking Boxes. We’re Looking for the Real Thing.

Didn’t come up through a traditional path? Good. Tell us about it.

No big-name legal tech logo on your resume? We’ve hired people who outperformed everyone who did.

Career gap? Weird pivot? Started somewhere completely left field? Bring it. The people who got here the strange way usually have the best instincts.

What we actually want to see: someone who earns a trial lawyer’s trust in the first demo, then builds the system that lets everyone else do it too, without thinking about it. If that’s you, the path you took to get here is just a good story.

‍

Who Thrives Here

You thrive here if you build. There are no legacy processes protecting legacy roles. You’d rather write the first version and fix it than wait for permission. You work with people who give real feedback fast, and you give it back.

You’re curious. You’ll learn how a litigation team really prepares for trial, and what AI should and shouldn’t touch. You care about the mission: responsible AI that augments lawyers’ judgment instead of replacing it.

‍

How to Apply

Don’t just send a resume. Send an email to careers@boodle.ai with a subject line that already tells us something about you.

Include:

  • Your LinkedIn profile
  • Tell us why you’re the wrong hire. Career gap, weird pivot, missing credential, whatever it is. Then tell us why we should do it anyway. The best person for this role probably doesn’t look like it yet.
  • A link, screenshot, or description of something you’ve built on the side. A bot, a workflow, a system, a side project, a thing you made at 2am because you couldn’t stop. Bonus points if you built it with AI.
