About BoodleBox

BoodleBox is a VC-backed GenAI platform built for higher education. With 100,000+ users across 1,200+ colleges and universities, we partner with faculty, staff, and students to make responsible AI adoption practical, impactful, and lasting. Our platform brings together leading AI tools — including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity — under one roof, purpose-built for the unique demands of academic environments. We're guided by three core values: service, education, and collaboration.

‍

The Role

You inherit accounts that are already live — trust already built, adoption already started — and you see what nobody else sees yet: the department that hasn't onboarded, the VP who mentioned budget season, the pilot that's quietly become indispensable. You turn that into more seats, more departments, more years.

This isn't a renewal desk. You sit between Customer Success and Sales, translating account health into growth strategy, and you're just as comfortable in a Provost's office as you are in the middle of a contract redline. BoodleBox is still building its Account Management function, so you're not inheriting a playbook — you're writing pieces of it as you go.

This role is fully remote, with a company hub in Colorado Springs, CO.

‍

What You'll Own

  • Expansion & Renewal. Build and run account plans that grow seat counts, add departments and colleges, introduce new products, and lock in multi-year renewals.
  • Executive Relationships. Build trust with Provosts, CIOs, and academic affairs VPs who can sponsor growth beyond the original buying group.
  • The CS-to-Sales Bridge. Take clean handoffs from Customer Success, read adoption data for expansion signals, and turn that intelligence into a proactive growth motion instead of a last-minute renewal scramble.
  • Whitespace Mapping. Find the departments and colleges inside your accounts that haven't adopted yet, and build the internal champions who'll help you get there.
  • Negotiation. Lead pricing and contract conversations for upsells, expansions, and renewals, working closely with Sales leadership and deal desk.
  • Forecasting. Own an accurate expansion pipeline, and report growth trends and risk honestly — surprises are worse than bad news.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment. Work across CS, Sales, Marketing, and Product to flag at-risk accounts early and feed what you're hearing from customers back into the broader go-to-market motion.
  • Represent BoodleBox. Show up at higher-ed conferences and events tied to your accounts to deepen relationships and find new expansion opportunities.

‍

Who You Are

  • You've grown accounts, not just kept them. 4+ years in account management, sales, or another quota-carrying revenue role in SaaS, with real experience expanding existing accounts — not just renewing them.
  • You know higher ed, or something just as complicated. Background in higher education, edtech, or complex institutional/enterprise sales is a strong plus — you understand what it means to sell to a committee, not a person.
  • Your numbers back you up. A track record of measurable expansion — net revenue retention, upsell attainment, or something comparable you can point to.
  • You can navigate a maze. You're comfortable with multi-stakeholder buying processes — procurement, provost sign-off, IT and security review — and a deal taking six approvals instead of one doesn't throw you.
  • You read data like a map, not a report. You know how to take Customer Success's health scores and adoption metrics and turn them into a real revenue motion, not just a dashboard.
  • You close, not just relationship-build. You're equally at home in a Provost's office and in a contract redline — and you know the difference between a good relationship and a signed deal.
  • You treat your book like it's yours. You notice the department that quietly wants in before anyone tells you, and you go after it without being asked.
  • You use AI, not just talk about it. You've built a real workflow with AI — into your account planning, your research, your outreach — not just used a chatbot to draft an email once.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

We're Not Checking Boxes. We're Looking for the Real Thing.

Didn't come up through a traditional path? Good. Tell us about it.

No enterprise-SaaS logo on your resume? We've hired people who outperformed everyone who did.

Career gap? Weird pivot? Started somewhere completely left field? Bring it. The people who got here the strange way usually have the best instincts.

What we actually want to see: someone who reads a relationship for what it actually is — who can walk into an account, spot the whitespace nobody's mapped yet, and turn “we like the pilot” into “let's talk about the whole university” without needing a script to get there. If that's you, the path you took to get here is just a good story.

‍

Who Thrives Here

You thrive here if you like moving fast without a lot of layers between you and a decision. We're still building the Account Management function, which means you'll shape parts of it — the account-planning process, the forecast cadence, what a good expansion pitch actually looks like — instead of running someone else's playbook.

You're curious by default. You ask the question in the meeting that other people are afraid to ask. You care about higher education actually working better for the people inside it, and you want a hand in making that happen at scale.

‍

What We Offer

  • Base salary of $100,000–$120,000, plus variable compensation tied to expansion and renewal targets.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage. BoodleBox covers 75% of premiums.
  • 401(k).
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Real career growth. Inside a high-growth, mission-driven company.

‍

How to Apply

Don't just send a resume. Send an email to careers@boodle.ai with the subject line “READY TO GROW EDU.”

Include:

  • Your LinkedIn profile.
  • Tell us why you're the wrong hire. Career gap, weird pivot, missing credential, whatever it is. Then tell us why we should do it anyway. The best person for this role probably doesn't look like it yet.
  • A link, screenshot, or description of something you've built on the side. A bot, a workflow, a system, a side project, a thing you made at 2am because you couldn't stop. Bonus points if you built it with AI.
