Own the automation, reporting, billing, and comp math that keep BoodleBox's revenue engine accurate as it scales.
BoodleBox is the collaborative AI workspace for teaching, learning, and work — providing more than 120,000 educators, students, and professionals across 1,300+ schools and enterprises with private, secure, and affordable access to every major AI model. From classrooms to companies, BoodleBox enables teams to build collaborative intelligence.
We built BoodleBox from day one for human–AI collaboration — the layer that wraps human judgment around AI rather than replacing it. That foundation, proven in education, is now powering expansion into the workplaces education prepares people for: 130+ workteams already rely on BoodleBox beyond higher ed, from law firms to financial services to the military.
Our north star: keeping intelligence human. Learn more at boodlebox.ai.
You build the machine everyone else runs on. When you see recurring work done by hand — a report someone rebuilds every week, a pipeline the go-to-market team holds together in their heads, an invoicing run that only works if the right person remembers — your instinct is to turn it into a system: documented, automated when it should be, durable enough to outlast whoever built it.
This is the operational fabric of our revenue function, and you own it. As BoodleBox scales, running revenue has to move from work people do by hand to systems that run on cadence: the automation behind recurring execution, the pipeline the go-to-market teams depend on, the reporting leadership reads, and the billing and comp math underneath. You hold the line on accuracy across all of it, deciding what's safe to release, what should never be handed to a machine, and when a number is wrong before anyone downstream sees it.
We're at the point where the tools are about to be everywhere and everyone has them. What separates a revenue operation that compounds from one that just ships faster is whether someone owns the systems and the truth underneath them. That's this role.
This role is fully remote, with a company hub in Colorado Springs, CO.
Didn't come up through a traditional path? Good. Tell us about it.
No fintech or big-four logo on your resume? We've hired people who outperformed everyone who did.
Career gap? Weird pivot? Started somewhere completely left field? Bring it. The people who got here the strange way usually have the best instincts.
What we actually want to see: someone who builds a system, documents it, and walks away knowing it will still run without them — without thinking twice about it. If that's you, the path you took to get here is just a good story.
This work moves on real deadlines — billing cycles, month-end close, and comp payment dates that don't slip. If you like the clarity of a hard date and the satisfaction of a clean reconciliation, you'll feel at home. The people who do well here are builders first: they see a manual process and want to replace it, they document as they go, and they'd rather make something durable than be indispensable.
We're a small team building something genuinely new for higher education, and we care about it. Curiosity, a bias toward ownership, and a real belief that AI can make careful work better — not sloppier — go a long way here.
No resume. A resume tells us the job you had but not how you solve problems. Email careers@boodle.ai with SLOPHUNTER in the subject line. Everything after that is yours to send.
Answer these three things in 500 words total. Editing is part of the job. (So is the word count. We'll notice.)
1. Take a number apart.
Pick a number you owned. One that mattered. One that somebody made a decision with.
Tell us how it was actually built: the inputs, the joins, the assumption nobody wrote down. Then explain how it could be wrong by an amount that matters without anyone noticing for a month.
2. Something you won't automate.
Pick something in your current job, or your last one, that you could hand to a machine and purposely won't. Tell us why. Then tell us what it costs you to keep doing it yourself, because it does cost you something.
3. How you used AI to write this.
You're going to. We would. What we want is the sentence it handed you that sounded good and you deleted anyway, because you couldn't defend the logic behind it.
If you tell us you didn't use it, we'll believe you. Then we'll spend the rest of your email wondering why you did not.
Three other housekeeping items to include:
The building is the fun part, and if we get this right the machine does most of it before long. What's left is proving that what came out is actually true — on work you didn't build, with real money riding on it more often than you'd like.
It's exacting. It's unglamorous. It doesn't come with a standing ovation. And it is the entire reason this role exists. Everyone is about to have the same tools, and what separates an operation that compounds from one that just ships slop faster is whether somebody owned this half.
If that sounds like the worst part of the job, no hard feelings, and we're glad you found out here instead of in month three.
If it sounds like the job you actually want, send the email.
