BoodleBox Boxes
Overview
Boxes in BoodleBox are a way to save, organize, manage, and even collaborate on boodles within the BoodleBox platform.
Key things to Know about Boxes
- Boxes allow you to organize and store boodles for later use. You can create your own personal boxes or make them public/collaborative for sharing boodles with others.
- There are different visibility settings for boxes – private, unlisted, and public.
- You can control the access settings on a box as well.
- Boxes have features like the ability to favorite, follow, rename, share via link, and more for managing collections of boodles.
Adding a Box
To add a box, click on “add box” after opening the boxes icon or within a chat by clicking on the “keep” icon.
- To create a box in chat, click on “keep“. Under “save boodle to box” click on “create a new box”.
- To create a box prior to a chat, click on “boxes” and click on “create box”
Box Name
You can name your box upon creation under “Name” or edit your box name in the box itself under “edit box details” using the … on the top right.
Viewing your Boxes
To view your boxes, click on the boxes icon in the left sidebar and choose “My Boxes” or by clicking on “boxes” in your profile.
Box Visibility
You can set box visibility when you create or edit a box under “General Access”. Note: once you have set box visibility, you cannot change its settings.
Private Boxes
Only you can access this box
Unlisted Boxes
This box won’t show up in search, but anyone with this link can see it. You may choose to allow users to “view only” or “contribute”.
Public Boxes
This box is searchable and anyone can see it. You may choose to allow users to “view only” or “contribute”.
Box Access
Box access allows you to select what other users are allowed to do in the box. Note: once you have set box access, you cannot change its settings.
View Only Boxes
“View Only” limits other users to only viewing the boodle in the box.
Collaborative Boxes
“Contribute” allows other users to add their own boodle to the box.
Box Details
View/Hide Details
To view or hide details, use the > in the top left of the box.
Edit Box Details
using the … on the top right.
Renaming a Box
To rename a box, click on the boxes menu and choose the edit button of the box you would like to rename. You may also do so directly in a box using the … and click on edit.
Changing Box View
To change the view of boodle within a box, click on the single box or grid view icons.
Deleting a Box
To delete a box, click on the boxes menu and choose the delete button. This cannot be undone.
Box Collaboration
Sharing a Box
To share a box, click on the share icon in the box details and copy the link.
Following/Joining a Box
After you find a box you like, you can follow or join by clicking on “Follow” under the box name.
Viewing Followed Boxes
To view followed boxes, click on the boxes icon in the left sidebar and choose “Followed Boxes”
Viewing Joined Boxes
To view joined boxes, click on the boxes icon in the left sidebar and choose “Joined Boxes”
Unfollowing a Box
To unfollow a box, click on “Unfollow Box” in the box menu or directly in the box just under the Box Name.
