The Opportunity
We’re seeking an Account Executive to join our growing sales team and expand BoodleBox’s impact in higher education across the United States. This role is fully remote (with a company hub in Colorado Springs, CO).
As an Account Executive, you will be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for driving the adoption of our AI platform in higher education institutions across the United States. This role requires a strategic and consultative sales approach, focusing on building lasting relationships with key stakeholders—from faculty and department heads to senior administrators and IT leaders. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying and engaging prospective universities to negotiating contracts and closing deals, ultimately expanding BoodleBox’s footprint in the EdTech market.
What You’ll Do
- Territory and Pipeline Management: Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets within your assigned territory, creating a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Full-Cycle Sales: Own the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, lead qualification, conducting product demonstrations, and navigating complex procurement processes within academic institutions.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at colleges and universities, acting as a trusted advisor to help them understand the value of BoodleBox.
- Needs Analysis: Understand the specific challenges and goals of higher education institutions to effectively articulate how the BoodleBox platform can drive AI adoption and student success.
- Collaboration Work: closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine sales strategies, provide market feedback, and ensure a seamless transition for new clients.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and the evolving needs of the higher education sector to identify new opportunities.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or a related technology field selling to the higher education market.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas in a complex sales environment.
- Experience managing long sales cycles and navigating the procurement processes of academic institutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of academic audiences.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales tools.
- A passion for the ethical application of advanced AI systems to solve challenges in education.
