How to See Students Work in BoodleBox

One of the benefits of BoodleBox for professors is the ability to see your students’ process and activity when using AI. To see your students’ AI work and view both qualitative and quantitative measures of AI activity, we recommend using Folders. Here’s a short clip about how to use them and how they help.

Step 1: Build a Folder

  • Locate the “My Folders” section in the left sidebar and click the associated plus sign “+” to open the “Add Folder” dialog box.
  • Enter your course name and select “Add” to create the course’s main folder.
    • Example Title: Intro to Marketing
  • Hover over the new course folder and click on its three dot menu. Select “Add Chat” to create a chat within the folder.
  • Repeat the steps above to create new course folders, subfolders for each lesson, and additional subfolders for each student.

Step 2: Share Folders

  • Locate the “My Folders” section in the left sidebar and hover over the course you would like to share.
  • Click the folder’s three dot menu and select “Copy Folder Link.”
  • The link will automatically be copied, allowing it to be shared via email, Slack, LMS, or any other messaging platform.
  • When your students click on the link, they will be directed to the shared folder. Anyone with a link to the folder will be able to see chats connected to the folder.

Step 3: Have Students Add New Chat

  • For your students to add chats in the folder, they will need to click the three dots next to the folder and select “Add New Chat.”
  • The new chat will be added inside the folder and will be visible to everyone with access. If students or faculty create chats outside of the folder, they will only be visible to the owner.

Step 3: View Folder Stats

  • When the student begins the chat, details about the student’s chat will begin to appear in the folder’s analytics like number of chats, number of prompts, number of messages between peers, and number of AI assistants used.
  • You can see these details by clicking on the folder in the left side panel.
  • If you want to see details into the specific chat, you may click on the chat in the left side panel.
  • You will then be able to see, and can scroll through, the work between the student and the AI assistant(s).
