Revise Learning Objectives Using BoodleBox

Learning objectives serve as the foundation of well-designed courses, guiding instructors and students towards clear, achievable goals. BoodleBox enables educators to harness the power of AI to craft precise, measurable objectives that align seamlessly with educational standards and course content.

Follow these steps to evaluate and enhance your learning objectives using BoodleBox:

Step 1: Prepare Materials

  • Locate your current learning objectives.
  • Open BoodleBox in your web browser and log in to your account.
  • Start a new chat by clicking “+ Start New Chat” in the left sidebar.
  • Use the drag and drop feature to upload your learning objectives to the chat.

Step 2: Ask AI

  • Ask the AI (we suggest  Edubot Student Learning Objectives) to review your attached learning objectives and identify areas for improvement.
    • Example prompt: I have attached a list of learning objectives for XYZ course. Please review the existing learning objectives and provide a comprehensive evaluation with suggested improvements to enhance clarity and measurability.
  • Review the AI’s suggestions and ask follow-up questions for clarification or additional ideas.
    • Example prompt: Could you expand on this evaluation to consider the progression of skills throughout the course and to ensure a balance between technical skills and creative expression?
  • Analyze the AI’s proposed adjustments and request further refinements as needed.
  • Consider adding supporting documents (like a syllabus) to provide more context for the AI and guide its responses.
    • Example pompt: I’ve attached the course’s syllabus. Please review its contents and ensure the revised learning objectives align with overall course content.
  • Iterate this process until you’re satisfied with the revised learning objectives.

Step 3: Finalize & Export

  • Carefully review the learning objectives to ensure clarity and achievability.
  • Copy the revised learning objectives from BoodleBox.
  • Open Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
  • Paste the updated learning objectives into your document.
  • Format the learning objectives to enhance clarity and ease of use.

Every file uploaded is automatically stored in your Knowledge Bank. Keeping your course materials well-organized and easily accessible will come in handy as your Knowledge Bank expands. Here a a few tips to help:

Use Descriptive File Names

  • Rename files with clear, informative titles.
  • Consider including course codes, topics, or dates in file names.
  • To rename a file, select its three dot menu, choose “Edit,” enter the new name, and click “Save.”

Regularly Review & Update

  • Remove outdated or irrelevant files to maintain a focused collection.
  • Update materials with the latest information and resources.
